Jesus commanded his followers to follow his example in loving and serving others. Through participating in our Christian Service ministries, we carry out Jesus’s command by striving to love others in our local community through service.

Dire Needs Hours: Monday 1:00 – 3:00PM
The St. Mary Food Pantry provides food for individuals or families in need and operates on donations from individuals, companies, and corporations. Volunteers are needed to distribute food on Monday and Thursday, stock the pantry, and help unload the monthly food truck.
The Dire Needs Office provides up to $150.00 every three months to individuals or families needed assistance paying utility bills. If you need assistance, please bring your bill with you so that we can help.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is composed of women and men who seek their personal holiness through works of charity. The Society operates a food pantry in the bottom level of the St. Joseph School building and operates on donations from individuals, companies, and corporations. Volunteers are always needed to distribute food on Wednesday and Friday, to stock the pantry shelves, and to help unload the monthly food truck.

The Catholic Women of Adrian imitate the ministry of the Blessed Virgin Mary by committing themselves to prayer and service to each other, the Church, and the larger community. Meetings are held in the afternoons on the first Monday of each month from 1:00PM – 2:30PM. Membership is open to all women in the parish.

The Guadalupe Society works to promote devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patroness of the Americas and Mother of all peoples. The Guadalupe Society meets the First Sunday of the month after the noon Mass at the St. Mary Campus. They gather on the 12th of each month to pray the rosary at the Guadalupe Garden on the St. Mary Campus and are responsible for the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Las Posadas each December. The Guadalupe Society is open to all parishioners who desire to make Mary more known, loved, and honored.

The Knights of Columbus is an international Catholic fraternal service order founded by Bl. Michael McGivney on March 29, 1882, to help those in need. Based on the 4 principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism, the Knights of Columbus work to help and care for the needy in our parish and community. The Adrian Council 1665 is celebrating over 100 years of charitable service to our Adrian Community and meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 7:00PM – 8:00PM at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Membership is open to all men in the parish.

The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians is a sororal organization of American Irish women which strives to live the motto of “Fraternity, Unity, and Christian Charity” by being involved in social justice in our community. The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians meets on the third Monday of each month from 1:00PM – 3:00PM in the Activity Center at the St. Mary Campus. Membership is open to all women parishioners of Irish birth or descent.

Share the Warmth strives to be a leading partner in Lenawee County ensuring that no individual or family ever has to spend the night outdoors because they cannot find safe shelter. They intend to be that beacon of hope for the homeless that provides a compassionate environment as their guests take the path forward. To learn more, visit the Share the Warmth website.
The Social Concerns Committee promotes and coordinates programs and outreach that assist the material and social needs of parishioners and the wider community. Committee work varies each year and includes programs such as Meals on Wheels, the Advent Giving Tree, and ministry for the St. Mary and St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantries. The Committee is open to all parishioners and meeting times vary.
