Through the Sacrament of Baptism, our children become part of the Church and a member of the People of God. Baptism is the basis of our entire Christian life, the gateway to life in the Holy Spirit and the way by which one gains access to all other sacraments.
Children who are newborn through age 6 may have an infant baptism. For children or adults older than that, please see our Becoming Catholic information below.
At Holy Family we celebrate infant baptisms on the 3rd Sunday of the month at all Masses (except during Advent and Lent). We also celebrate infant baptism outside of Mass by appointment.

Matrimony is a sacrament of service in which a man and a woman vow to live their lives together forever. Sacred Scripture speaks of this vocation as it begins with the creation of man and woman in the image and likeness of God and concludes with a vision of the “wedding feast of the lamb” when God and all creation are united together as one. St. Paul also speaks of holy matrimony as symbolizing the love and union that Jesus Christ has for His church.
The Catholic Church requires that couples who wish to be celebrate the sacrament of matrimony to spend between 9-12 months in preparation for receiving this sacrament. During this preparation, the couple learns more about each other, God, the Catholic faith, and the role and responsibility of living together as a married couple. Whether you are a young couple or a couple who was married civilly and already have children, we would love to bless your marriage! Regardless of your situation, please contact Fr. Michael Newman, OSFS, for more information and to begin preparation.
Priests are men who have dedicated their lives to following Jesus Christ by living a life of simplicity, service, and generosity. Through the Sacrament of Holy Orders, a man is radically changed so that his life is conformed to Christ’s forever. Priests serve the Church through the celebration of the Mass and the Sacraments and by walking with all people on their faith journey.
Do you feel called by God to follow him as a priest? If so, contact Fr. Michael Newman, OSFS, for more information and discernment.
Since the beginning of the church there have been men and women who have felt called to follow Jesus by taking lifelong vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience and becoming a member of a male or female religious order. Men and women religious serve the church in a variety of ways through parish ministry, education, healthcare and missionary activity. Here at Holy Family we are blessed to be served by two religious orders: the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, a religious order of men, and the Adrian Dominicans, a religious order of women. For more information and to discern if you are called to religious life, contact Fr. Michael Newman, OSFS.
